The Final Round: Grand Prize Draw marked the culmination of the 2025-26 Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) Lucky Draw Campaign, celebrating students who actively shared their feedback throughout both the Fall and Spring terms. Eligible participants were entered into the draw for the opportunity to win a tablet and other exciting prizes. The event highlighted the value of student feedback and its contribution to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at HKUST. All winners were notified of their results and prize collection arrangements via email.

The Folder Cover Design Competition provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity while contributing ideas that will be featured in future student engagement and advocacy initiatives at HKUST. The competition attracted enthusiastic participation from more than 30 students, who submitted a diverse range of creative and inspiring designs. Following a comprehensive assessment by the judging panel, three winning entries were selected, comprising one Champion and two Excellence Award recipients. All winners were notified of their results and prize collection arrangements via email. Thank you to all participants for sharing their enthusiastic involvement and creative contributions, which helped make the competition a great success.

The Interactive Booth was successfully held at the Chia-Wei Woo Academic Concourse in late April 2026, attracting over 400 participants over three days. The booth featured a series of engaging activities that encouraged students to share their feedback while receiving exclusive gifts, creating a vibrant and interactive experience.
The event facilitated meaningful interactions with students and served as an effective platform to promote the Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ). It also helped enhance awareness of the Academic Quality Advancement (AQA) team under the Academic Registry (ARO) and the various student surveys, while encouraging students to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at HKUST.

The Round 2 Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) Lucky Draw (2025-26 Spring Term) was held from 24 April to 10 June 2026, attracting over 300 student participants. To enter the lucky draw, students were required to complete all assigned SFQs and share examples of how their feedback had positively contributed to their learning, as well as their preferred communication approaches for receiving updates on follow-up actions and improvements. The insights collected will support ongoing efforts to strengthen communication with students and further close the feedback loop.

The Folder Cover Design Competition was launched from 27 February to 31 March 2026, promoting the value of student feedback through creative expression, catering to students with diverse interests and engagement styles. The initiative offered a fresh, multi-dimensional approach for students to explore and express how their feedback helps shape and enhance the learning experience across the University. Winning designs will be produced as actual folders, serving as practical and meaningful reminders of the value of student feedback in advancing teaching and learning at HKUST.

To support the continuous enhancement of the SFQ, a 5-minute Simple Survey was conducted from 27 January to 15 February 2026 to gather students’ views on their participation behaviours, motivations, and barriers. The initiative attracted nearly 1,000 student responses, with participants entered a lucky draw for a chance to receive a HK$25 coffee shop coupon.

The Round 1 Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) Lucky Draw (2025-26 Fall Term) was held from 6 November to 31 December 2025 to encourage student participation in the SFQ and gather qualitative feedback on their use of AI technologies in supporting learning and academic growth at HKUST. To enter the lucky draw, students were required to complete all assigned SFQs and share their teaching and learning experiences.
The initiative attracted more than 340 student participants, demonstrating strong engagement in both survey completion and in-depth feedback sharing.

An interactive booth was held from 29 April to 9 May 2025 at the Chia-Wei Woo Academic Concourse to promote the University’s surveys. Over seven days, nearly 800 students visited the booth, where they completed one University survey [First Year Experience Survey (FYES), Student Engagement and Satisfaction Questionnaire Survey (SESQ) or Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ)], participated in interactive games, and received gifts during the event.

More than 360 students who completed all the required SFQs for the AY2024/25 Spring term and shared the best teaching and learning practice they experienced, were eligible to participate in the lucky draw campaign.
