SFQ System
The newly developed Student Feedback Questionnaires (SFQ) System, implemented from the Fall term of Academic Year 2025-26, is designed to streamline administrative processes, automate manual procedures, enhance work efficiency and effectiveness, ensure data accuracy and consistency by:
- capturing data from its source by extracting data from a single source of truth, specifically the Student Information System (SIS);
- aligning information between institutional systems for effective automated updates;
- enabling academic and academic support units to manage their access rights, set up their responsible surveys and make changes directly on the SFQ System; and
- allowing course instructors to retrieve their Provisional Reports, Final Reports and Instructor Cumulative Reports directly from the SFQ System, enhancing faculty’s timely accessibility to SFQ reports, while relieving the manual process of the administrative staff.
Featured Functions of the Newly Developed SFQ System for administrative staff
Manage Access Rights: Designated personnel will manage access rights for users within their units, ensuring appropriate permissions for system usage.
Update Survey Attributes: Administrative staff will have the access right to update survey attributes, such as survey periods and report groups, individually or in batches for efficient management.
Retrieve Reports: Administrative staff can directly retrieve various reports, including Provisional and Instructor Cumulative Reports, from the SFQ System, enhancing data accessibility.
Featured Functions of the Newly Developed SFQ System for teaching personnel
Provisional Reports: Course instructors will be able to view the Teaching Personnel Report (Provisional) after the survey is closed and final grade is submitted to SIS, enabling them to receive SFQ results immediately after the courses conclude.
Additional Statistics in Instructor Cumulative Reports: The overall response rate, course overall ratings and instructor overall ratings of all evaluated courses in each term will be included in Instructor Cumulative Reports. This will provide instructors with a clearer understanding of their overall teaching performance.
Updated Access to Teaching Personnel Reports of Teaching Assistant (TA): Course instructors will be able to view the Teaching Personnel Report for the TA who taught the same course section. This access will provide course instructors with better insights into the teaching performance of their TAs.
